Minty Green Smoothie

This smoothie is so good! There is something about adding mint to my morning smoothie that just says "hello sunshine!" to me. I also think this smoothie would be very good with swiss chard. mmm Next time I'll try that. Or even a mixture of baby spinach and Swiss chard. The thing about green smoothies (and all recipes really) is that they are just guidelines. You can do anything you like with them.  I rarely measure my greens anymore (unless its a "green" green like romaine) I just throw in a couple big handfuls and blend it up. Have fun with your smoothies, experiment.  When you try something new just make sure you taste it before you pour it, you might find you need to add something; easier to do that before you pour it. ;)

Minty Green Smoothie

2 cups baby spinach
1 handful mint
2 pears
2 bananas

Instructions:
Chop pears. Put all ingredients in your blender and blend (If you don't have a high powered blender it's easier to blend your greens first then add in the fruit. Mine isn't high powered & I had to use a spoon to push things down to get it blended). Pour & enjoy.
